Group Rides

We aim to cater for most levels. There is a minimum requirement to be able to ride 24 miles in around 2 hours.

Groups are split into different speeds and distances, with our ride leaders choosing the routes and keeping everyone together throughout the ride. Riding in a group is safer and more fun!

There are normally rides every weekend throughout the year, weather permitting. These can be Saturday or Sunday (or both!), starting at 8:30 in the Summer and 9:00 in the Winter. There are also some rides during the week, usually starting slightly later after the rush hour.

Our Group Levels

  • 20-25 miles at 10 - 12 mph average speed.

    Newcomers welcome, very sociable rides with a tea stop.

  • 30-40 miles at 12-14 mph average speed.

    A sociable ride which always includes a cafe stop.

  • 35-50 miles at 13-15 mph average speed.

    A steady paced social ride sometimes on more challenging routes. Always includes a cafe stop.

  • 40-65 miles at 15-16 mph average speed.

    A cafe stop if everyone wants one. They usually do!

  • 40-60 miles at 16-18 mph average speed.

    A training ride for stronger experienced riders.

  • 40-60 miles. A fast training ride at 18mph average speed.
